Muktidham is a gripping political drama set in 8th century India, when Buddhism is challenging Sanatan Dharma. BROKEN NOTE

Written by Anand Raghav

Directed by Dheepa Ramanujam

Separate shows in Tamil and English

Mar 13-21, 2026

Sunnyvale Theatre

Spanning four decades, Broken Note explores the tangled bonds of family, the desire for acknowledgement and recognition, and the weight of legacy. At its heart is Nithya, a gifted Carnatic vocalist, grappling with the absence — and the looming presence — of her father, a legendary musician. As she struggles with resentment and the need for recognition, she discovers that music, which once divided them, may also offer a path to healing and reconciliation.

Broken Note is the English version of the original Tamil play Sruti Bhedham. There will be separate shows in Tamil and English.
