Artistic Director

Basab Pradhan is the Artistic Director of Bay Area Drama Company. He co-founded the company in 2014 along with Sindu Singh and Ravi Bhatnagar. He served as Co-Artistic Director from 2016 to 2020 and now as Artistic Director since 2020.

Basab is a playwright, director and actor. His full-length plays are – Not Equal To, Greater Than, Divided By, and an adaptation of A Doll's House. Other directorial credits include Free Outgoing by Anupama Chandrasekhar, Sonata by Mahesh Elkunchwar, Taj Mahal Ka Tender by Ajay Shukla and BADCo’s own Our Stories and OS2. Some of his favorite roles have been – The Man in Adhe Adhure, Chandrasekhar in The Square Root of a Sonnet, Prabhakar in Boiled Beans on Toast, Nath Devlalikar in Kanyadaan, Chairman Rao in Not Equal To, Moolchand in Counter Offence, Salman in The Domestic Crusaders and Jairaj in Dance Like a Man.

Sindu Singh co-founded Bay Area Drama Company and was its Co-Artistic Director from 2016 to 2020.

Ravi Bhatnagar co-founded Bay Area Drama Company in 2014 and was its Artistic Director till 2016.
