Basab Pradhan is the Artistic Director of Bay Area Drama Company.He co-founded the company in 2014 along with Sindu Singh and Ravi Bhatnagar. He served as Co-Artistic Director from 2016 to 2020 and now as Artistic Director since 2020.

Basab is a playwright, director and actor. His full-length plays are – Not Equal To, Greater Than, Divided By, and an adaptation of A Doll's House. Other directorial credits includeTaj Mahal Ka Tender by Ajay Shukla, Bhopal by Rahul Varma and Muktidham by Abhishek Majumdar. Some of his favorite roles have been – The Man in Adhe Adhure, Chandrasekhar in The Square Root of a Sonnet, Prabhakar in Boiled Beans on Toast, Nath Devlalikar in Kanyadaan, Chairman Rao in Not Equal To, Moolchand in Counter Offence, Salman in The Domestic Crusaders and Jairaj in Dance Like a Man.
