The Playwright of RSTI: Mani Ram

Mani Ram is a writer, director, and storyteller whose passion for creating compelling narratives spans theatre, short films, and feature films. He has written and directed four stage plays and ten short films, consistently exploring fresh ideas and engaging audiences through meaningful storytelling.

Expanding his creative journey into cinema, Mani recently completed directing his first full-length feature film, which he also wrote. The film is scheduled for release this year, marking an exciting milestone in his career as a filmmaker.

Mani first gained wider recognition as a finalist on the acclaimed Tamil television reality show Naalaya Iyakkunar ("Tomorrow's Director"), where his creativity and filmmaking skills earned him a place among the competition's top participants.

Whether on stage or on screen, Mani is driven by a love for creating something new. He enjoys transforming simple ideas into memorable experiences and believes that every story has the power to entertain, inspire, and spark conversation. Off the stage and behind the camera, he has an enduring fondness for clever wordplay and puns—a reflection of his playful approach to language and creativity.

For Mani, storytelling is more than a craft; it is a lifelong pursuit of imagination, innovation, and connecting with people through stories that resonate.
