Anand is a software engineer in Bangalore, with a quiet manner, a devoted girlfriend, and a pressing problem — he really does not want to go to Omaha.

What begins as a desperate attempt to escape an onsite posting — first a sick father, then a sudden crisis of conscience — spirals into something much bigger. After a series of corporate standoffs, a timely press leak, and one very unusual Management Committee meeting, Anand finds himself donning saffron robes, with a morning discourse slot and a following he never quite intended to build.

The Making of a Godman is a sharp, affectionate satire set in the world of Indian IT — where ancient wisdom is repackaged for modern ambition, and the line between genuine belief and a negotiated deal turns out to be rather thin. Told through the eyes of Conscience — Anand's reluctant, wisecracking inner voice — it asks a deceptively simple question: does it matter how a godman is made, if it's good for the company?
