SYNOPSIS

“30 Days In September” is an intense and gripping tale of love and betrayal that explores the brutal severance of the unbreakable bond between adult and child. A mother discovers the truth about her daughter, which sets them both on a journey of self-discovery about their lives and their inextricably linked past.

ROLES

MALA :  (FEMALE; AGE: 21-25)
Mala is a young and upcoming marketing executive. Successful at work, and deeply tormented in her personal life. Abused as a child, betrayed by family, she continues to toggle between her lives until she is forced to brink of sanity. 
DEEPAK :  (MALE; AGE: 23-28)
Young and full of gusto. In love with Mala, and struggling to find sanity and balance in his relationship with her, and becomes a force of reckoning in everyone’s lives.
MAN/UNCLE : (MALE; AGE: 43-48)
Unassuming gentlemen. Nothing too special about him at first sight, but he runs deep. Firm and gentle in general, and complex in character. 

The role of Shanta has been cast.

AUDITION FORMAT

Auditions will be held in Hayward on Saturday, June 13th, 11am onwards. Please contact roobenmorgan@gmail.com for an appointment.  You will receive a confirmation email with a time-slot. Prepare a 2 minute monologue in English for the audition.  If shortlisted, you will be provided with sides from the play and called back the same afternoon. Rehearsals will begin soon thereafter and will be held in Hayward.
